Early Morning Baking Session : : Up before dawn with this little one, so decided to do some baking.

Beach Dreaming : : Hot, hot summer requires proper reading material.

Peach : : I gave my daughter a whole peach after I peeled it and let her go to town on it. One of the best memories this summer. :)

Waking Up : : The light was streaming through the window just so this morning as I was beginning to enjoy my cup of tea.

Lamb Burgers : : A collaborative effort of myself and my husband. Homemade lamb burgers with blue cheese, kalamata olives, caramelized onions and arugula. Enough said.

Roses : : Playing around with my prime lens today. I love how I can get such precise focus and the rest is blurred to various degrees.

Peach Tree Fail : : I woke up this morning to find our peach tree laden with peaches flat on the ground. I guess the heat got to it and it split off the trunk. :(

Car Seat Surfing : : I put the car seat there to deter her from unloading the CDs but now I have worse things to worry about.

Little Blue Truck : : By far, this is her favorite book. She loves to hear us make the sounds of all the animals. It's one of the few that she will sit still for.

Outta Here! : : I guess I've been falling down on the job of taking her outside to play because today she decided to take matters into her own hands and head right out the door on her own!

Auburn Courthouse : : Went on a lovely date sans child thanks to my mother-in-law this morning with my husband at a great, little coffee shop across the street from the courthouse in town. The clouds were just begging for a photo-op with it this morning.

Musically Inclined? : : It seems she likes music. She certainly loves to bop her head to the beat as it plays on the radio or as Daddy strums his mandolin. Is she sending us a message now by unloading all the CDs?

Yogurt Mustache : : We've been 'growing' a lot of these so far this summer. She sure does love her yogurt!

Longing for the Outdoors : : To say my daughter likes the outdoors is an understatement. Unfortunately, two things stood against her today: the heat and the fact that she will attempt to eat everything on the ground outside so I have to watch her like a hawk and I couldn't.

Splish Splash : : Ugh. It has been too hot these past few days (especially after enjoying cool mountain air for five days). We try to beat the heat, splashing around in my daughter's little pool when we just can't take it anymore.

Shadow Play : : Out before the sun is too high in the sky, swinging away.

Little Virtuoso : : Her newest pasttime is piano playing. She loves to make music, banging on the keys.

Through the Trees : : We catch glimpses of the inviting lake through the trees as we take a walk around it.

A Swinging Good Time : : There are fewer things as great as an indoor swing!

Sailing : : The lake is covered in sails, canoes, kayaks, windboarders, etc. throughout the holiday weekend. At the end of the day, the wind begins to die down and most go home. I'm glad this one stayed out a little later today.

Paella Masterpiece : : To celebrate my little nephew, Danny's First Birthday, his Gram made an amazing paella dish on the barbeque. Impressive in more ways than one!

Firecracker Toes : : We celebrated 4th of July in style today with a fresh, red nailpolish manicure. :)

Doggy Friend : : E loves my in-laws' old black lab, Rocky. She is learning to *gently* pat him and he tries to *gently* nudge her back.

Trying to Stay Cool : : Another summertime drink concoction -- peach ginger green iced tea.

Beach Ball Fun : : After we lost her little beach ball somewhere in Virginia, we had to go in search of replacement. This one is a bit larger, but perhaps a bit more fun as daddy takes her on rides atop it.
